The City of Brickville Fire Rescue Department has been protecting the city of Brickville since 1976 when the town was first incorporated. At the time the department operated 2 Mack CF's (Tower 1 and Engine 11) and a Cadillac Ambulance. As the city grew, so did the department. In 1982 the department bought 2 Chevrolet Pumpers running as Engine 9 and Engine 10. Engine 10 was soon totalled on the way to a structure fire; it was replaced by yet another Mack CF. In the late 90's and early 00's the city experienced an economic boom, resulting in about 20,000 more residents and miles of more land. In response the city coucil placed a mass order for 4 Pierce Dash's. They were placed into service as Engines 1, 18 ,22, and 42. Jump foward a few years and you'll find that we've grown quite a bit. We now operate 7 Engines, 3 Towers, 2 Rescues, 3 Medics, and numerous support units. We have also recently started a refurbishment plan that has already placed the original Engine 11 and Engine 42 back into frontline service.
